Volume 3 includes several images of Alaska Packers, also known as the Star Fleet, the last fleet of commercial sailing vessels on the West Coast, operated by the Alaska Packer's Association. An entry in this volume depicts the Star of Zealand, the Star of Lapland, the Star of Alaska, the Star of Italy, the Star of Chile, the Star of India, and the Star of France all in one photograph.
